My family and I returned two weeks ago from a mission trip to Guatemala. Twenty three members of our church traveled together to the Lake Atitlan region. What a beautiful country! With our mission work, we didn’t get a lot of site seeing in. We stayed in San Lucas Toliman and did a day trip to Santiago Atitlan.  

The experience was rather humbling to see so much poverty. However, the people we met were amazing. One of the highlights was replacing a home (kitchen/dormitory) and a kitchen for two families. I mostly worked on the kitchen. See the pictures below of the before and after. The families were so appreciative of receiving the help and so needed. The mission in Guatemala we helped:
